Chantry Hendry

Chantry B. Hendry spent thirteen years standing guard over things worth protecting. As a U.S. Army Parachute Rigger and Jumpmaster with the 19th Special Forces Group (Airborne), he was the last set of eyes on the equipment that kept paratroopers alive when they stepped into open sky — from Fort Bragg to Aviano, Italy, to Germany, to Camp Williams, Utah. He was rated the top NCO in his grade by senior leaders again and again, entrusted with millions of dollars in equipment and the safety of hundreds of Soldiers.
Now retired from active duty, Chantry has turned that same discipline toward a different kind of watch. He holds a current temple recommend, and he believes a life of service doesn’t end when the uniform comes off — it just finds a new post. He’s pursuing a role in Temple Security. His story is about what it means to be a defender — first of country, and now more than anything, of Faith.

Maddy Packer

I’m Maddy Packer, I grew up in Santa Fe, NM. I attended Catholic school 7-12th grade and then went to BYU Provo studying archaeology and ultimately graduated from BYUI in history/art history. I married my husband in 2018, and we have one little boy. I love to ski, spend time with my family, and learn as much about history as I can! My favorite time period is the early Middle Ages. I love Anglo-Saxon/Scandinavian history and anything having to do with ancient Christianity. My favorite movies are The Lord of the Rings.
